34/52 – From a dull vase to an enchanted candle holder

Hello Everyone

Welcome to my blog 🙂

Today I will take to you an enchanting world of fairies and glitter.

A few days ago I was given this boring and dull looking vase by a friend….totally unappealing

But the minute I saw it, I knew what I wanted it to be….and voila….

It was transformed into a beautiful fairy land candle holder….

Here’s a step-by-step of the transformation

  • Materials used:
  • Tissue paper
  • Mod Podge sheer color
  • Sospeso Trasparente sheets
  • Embellishments – I have used sea shells, faux pearls, chipboard
  • Glitter

Step 1 was to cover the entire vase with tissue paper

Step 2: Once the tissues dried up, painted the structure with Mod Podge Sheer blue

Step 3: While the sheer paint was still wet, sprinkled rainbow colored glitter all over the vase (missed to take a pic of this step)

Step 4: Worked on the sospeso transparante sheets to craft the flowers and fixed them to the vase

Step 5: Once the flowers were done, added the sea shells, cut mirror and faux pearls

Step 6: Added an embossed fairy chipboard die cut to the

Step 7: The final step was to give a coat of acrylic spray for the sheen and preservation

Hope you enjoyed the trip to this little fairy land

Thanks for stopping by

Have a great day

xx
